Where To Stay
A few tips to help you pick the best area to stay during the wedding weekend.
Salerno isn’t a huge city, but it stretches along the seafront and also develops uphill. Some areas may look close on a map but can take longer to reach, especially when walking to key transport points like the train station. For this reason, we recommend staying in the more central, well-connected areas. The historic centre is lovely and served by buses, but it’s about a 20-minute walk from the station area where the wedding coaches will drop off guests.
For the night before and of the wedding, we recommend staying in Salerno itself for convenience and ease, as coaches will bring guests back to the city.
In particular, staying in or around Salerno city centre, especially near the train station or Via Vinciprova, makes getting around simple and hassle-free:
Easy access to trains for Naples, Pompeii, etc.
The ferry port is nearby, with regular ferries to the Amalfi Coast.
Perfect for the wedding day coaches, as departures and returns will be centred around Salerno.
Plenty of hotels and B&Bs within walking distance, plus restaurants, cafes, and shops.
